CANGKUANG TEMPLE

Cangkuang Temple is a Hindu temple located in Kampung Pulo, in the village of Cangkuang, Leles District, Garut Regency, West Java Province. The location of Cangkuang Temple is quite unique because it is located on a small hilltop surrounded by a Situ or Lake namely Situ Cangkuang.

In the Cangkuang Temple area, there is also an ancient stone tomb called by the surrounding community as the tomb of Embah Dalem Arief Muhammad, who is believed to be the founder of the area. Besides that, in the Kampung Pulo area there is also a cultural preserve in the form of a traditional settlement of the Kampung Pulo community which is still well preserved.

Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU) located in Jln. Padasuka 118, Bandung Timur, Jawa Barat. Saung Angklung Udjo is a performance, and handcraft center for bamboo music instrument named angklung. SAU have a goal to become an educational laboratory and study center for the Sundanece culture and angklung specifically. Founded in 1966 by Udjo Ngalagena and his wife Uum Sumiati, to preserve and conserve the traditional Sundanese art and culture. The place is surrounded by shades of bamboo trees and filled with bamboo craft and bamboo instrument. SAU routinely performs every afternoon and also performed at campuses, other regions and even on other countries.
