TANGKUBAN PERAHU

The Tangkuban Perahu crater is a populer tourist destination located in the southern area of the Subang Regency, standing at 2,048 meters over sea level.

The panoramic view of the stratovolcanic crater and the cool breeze of the mountain plus the added vegetation growth makes Tangkuban Perahu a wonderful place to visit.

Viewed from the the city of Bandung, Tangkuban Perahu has a unique shape that resembles an upside down boat (Sundanese: Tangkuban = upside down, perahu = boat). This unique shape is believed to have a connection the Sangkuriang legend story.

Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU) located in Jln. Padasuka 118, Bandung Timur, Jawa Barat. Saung Angklung Udjo is a performance, and handcraft center for bamboo music instrument named angklung. SAU have a goal to become an educational laboratory and study center for the Sundanece culture and angklung specifically. Founded in 1966 by Udjo Ngalagena and his wife Uum Sumiati, to preserve and conserve the traditional Sundanese art and culture. The place is surrounded by shades of bamboo trees and filled with bamboo craft and bamboo instrument. SAU routinely performs every afternoon and also performed at campuses, other regions and even on other countries.
