WONDERFUL LAMPUNG

This island is often said to be a paradise for snorkelers because of the beauty of its underwater biota. Pahawang Island is divided into two areas, Pahawang Besar (Big Pahawang) and Pahawang Kecil (Small Pahawang). All snorkelers would be fascinated by the colorful corals and sea life beneath the crystal clear waters of the island.
There is also one snorkeling spot that is also the breeding site for clownfish.

Kiluan Bay functions as a migration path for two species of Dolphin; the Bottle-nose dolphin and the Spinner dolphin. The number of these amazing marine crease that pass through the bay is estimated in the thousands, one of the largest number of migrating dolphins in the world.

It is a coastal tourist attraction located on Bumi Sari Natar, Tanggamus District of Lampung Province with the potential of marine tourism, and is famous for its many dolphins, whales around Kiluan Bay. Kiluan Bay is also famous for its natural beauty and a haven for the reliable anglers. Because every year held a fishing competition followed by a reliable angler in Indonesia. Its location is 73 km from Lampung Airport and can be reached for 3 hours by car.

The Gayau Lagoon or the natural Swimming Pool located in Balik Bukit Teluk Kiluan. To reach the spot Laguna Gayau takes approximately 30 minutes because it is located right behind the hill Kiluan Bay. There is also a local guide that guides the tourists and visitors who first beru to Teluk Kiluan at a cost of Rp 50,000 for one trip back and forth. To enter the lagoon area is required to buy tickets for Rp 5,000 per person. To reach the lagoon, tourists and visitors must pass a very beautiful beach because it is filled with the distribution of large rocks but still must remain alert with the waves are also quite large. After passing the beach then can see the beauty of Gayau Lagoon formed by the basin at the edge of the beach and limited by the rock walls. The water inside the lagoon is very clear and clean with turquoise color. The depth of the lagoon ranges from 1 to 3 meters so it is safe to swim or just soak in it.

Way Kambas National Park is one of the oldest reserves in Indonesia since 1985. Approximately 200 Sumatran elephants live within the park. Here, visitors can observe elephants perform various tasks and join their daily activities. The visitor also able to ride them to explore the savannah in Way Kambas.

Officially established in 1985, the Elephant Training Center, located 9 km from the park’s Plang Ijo entrance, is an establishment aimed to protect the existence of the elephant and at the same time create mutual benefit for both the elephants and men. The training center is also a reminiscent of the time when kings or sultans ruled Sumatra, when elephants were trained and deployed in warfare and also for ceremonial purposes. Here, visitors can observe elephants perform various tasks such as transporting lumber or plowing fields.
