ABOUT WEST JAVA
West Java is an Indonesian province on the island Java, extending south and east of Jakarta. Bandung, the provincial capital, is known for Dutch-designed art deco buildings.

West Java is the native homeland of Sundanese people which forms the largest ethnic group in West Java, followed by Javanese who migrated to the province centuries ago. BOGOR
Bogor Botanical Garden:
Bogor Botanical Gardens are said to have been initiated by Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, who, between 1811-1816, became Governor General of the East Indies during the interim reign of the British over the archipelago.

It is located in Bogor city and spread about 87 hectares with the impressive out-of-town Bogor Presidential Palace fronting it and soaring Mt. Salak at its background and boasts over 400 species of palm trees, 5,000 trees gathered from around the tropical world, and an orchid house containing 3,000 varieties.
SUKABUMI
Ciletuh Geopark:
Ciletuh-Pelabuhan Ratu Geopark recognized Indonesia’s 4th. UNESCO Global Geopark. This brings to four Geoparks in Indonesia that have today been accredited as UNESCO Geoparks. These are: Mt. Batur Geopark in Bali, Gunung Sewu Geopark in Yogyakarta and Mt. Rinjani Geopark on the island of Lombok.

The Ciletuh-Pelabuhan Ratu Geopark encompasses a total area of about 126,000 hectares. It covers 74 villages, a number of nature reserves and conservation areas including sea turtles conservation areas at Pangumbahan and a Batik Traditional Village at Purwasedar.

BANDUNG
White Crater:
It’s surroundings are dominated by a pale white color which radiates a rather hypnotizing ambience. The vast dormant volcanic crater is filled with surreal turquoise-colored water.

The tree-clad cliffs surrounding the crater reach around 2,500 meters above sea level and make for a stunning backdrop, especially when the clouds start to roll in. The altitude here brings with it chilly temperatures, which in a way, will add to the magical splendor of Kawah Putih.

Tangkuban Prahu Crater:
Tangkuban Perahu has definitely a significant role especially in the development of the surrounding Parahyangan (land of God) Highlands.

It is the only crater in Indonesia that you can drive up to its very rim. Mount Tangkuban Perahu has a distinctive shape, and looks like an “overturned boat”. Here you will be greeted by sulfur fumes which the crater continues to emit although the volcano is not active.

Saung Angklung Udjo:
Udjo's House of Angklung attempts to manifest beautiful harmony of vibrating bamboos that echo from this simple amphitheatre all the way to the other side of the world. It spreads the values of simplicity, co-operation, unity and togetherness.

Established in 1966, Saung Angklung Udjo was built with purpose and dedication to conserve West Java’s Sundanese traditional art and culture.

Bandung City:
Bandung was known as “Parijs van Java” with its wide boulevards, flanked by colonial houses with wide, neat front lawns.
You may find many Dutch historical building in Riau Street and Braga Street.

Bandung also well known for the factory outlet. From the branded items, jeans collection, and leather’s collection.

GARUT
Cangkuang Temple:
Cangkuang Temple is a small 8th-century Shivaist candi. The temple is made from andesite stones, the temple's base measures 4.5 x 4.5 meters and 8.5 meters tall. The architectural style is similar to those of early Central Javanese Hindu temples.
TASIKMALAYA
Naga Village:
Naga village is a traditional village which is inhabited by a community that holds a strong tradition of preserving the way of life their ancestors and located in the area of Neglasari Village.

The village is notable for its traditional houses which is characterized by its functionality, simplicity, modesty, and its use of natural thatched materials, and its quite faithful adherence to the harmony with the nature and environment.
CIREBON
The Kasepuhan Palace:
Cirebon has four palaces, precious heritage of this once powerful Islamic kingdom. They are the Keraton (palace) Kasepuhan, Keraton Kanoman, Keraton Kacirebonan, and Keraton Keprabon.
Standing on a total land area of 10 hectares, the Kasepuhan Keraton is the largest, the most impressive and best kept among the Cirebon palaces, where every niche carries its own historic significance.

Trusmi Batik:
Batik Trusmi, located at the village of Trusmi, situated some 4 KM west of the city center. The history of Batik at Trusmi Village is believed to have been initiated by an Islamic religious leader by the name of Ki GedeTrusmi.

At Trusmi Village, there are over 1,000 batik artisans who work daily to produce these fine masterpieces. Cirebon features both styles of Batik Keraton (Royal Batik of the Kasepuhan and the Kanoman Sultanates) and Batik Pesisir (Coastal Batik). Royal batik is characterized by motifs of royal symbols based on religious philosophy, while the coastal batiks are more dynamic and open to current trends.
